To be told to very young pink foxes if they are in the mood for a scary story. Not too close to bedtime, though, or they might get so frightened that they will have trouble sleeping.

Foxdor

In the dark of night, Pandor walks the land.

Pandor is a giant panda. Pandor walks the night in search of small red pandas to eat.

Pandor fears no one. Pandor fears nothing. Except…

Foxdor!

Foxdor is a giant fox. He is five times the size of Pandor.

In the dark of night, Foxdor walks the land.

He says ‘Foxdor’ once in a while in a deep, quiet, scary voice.

His voice is five times deeper and five times scarier than any other voice in the night.

If Foxdor ever found Pandor, he would CHOMP him instantly, and swallow him down in that one CHOMP.

But Foxdor walks the land only on Monday nights, and Pandor walks the land only on Tuesday nights.

We must hope that they never meet.

In the dark of night, Foxdor walks the land.
